Something Old From Your Stash ..Julia Spiri Stamps

Todays lovely image from Julia Spiri is coloured using Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card.. My something old from my stash is the last bits of off cuts of paper from my Hobbycraft pad from about two yrs ago ,the front has long since gone and there are just a couple of full papers and odd off cuts,these being some of them...I mounted them all onto craft card and added a die cut border from CC Downton Abbey , as the border so pretty ..Once in place I cut out two of the smaller flowers  from my Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms 6 ,just got these and already love them ..I used a free paper pad from a magazine for the flowers and top of the butterfly..the leaves and underside of the butterfly are cut from cor dinations cardstock and to finish I added some tiny crystals to add a touch of sparkle ..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Add Some Pink..Glitter n Sparkle Weekly Challenge DT Card

This week I have had the pleasure of colouring my very first Lemon Shortbread digi stamp Its a slightly different Halloween card ..The image is definately a Halloweene Fairy ,but I felt I wanted to do a bit of a different twist to the card after all if we all did the same ,why have the fun of the challenged lol  ..Unfortunately it has not turned out quite like I wanted it too ,I chose Purple as the dress colour and wish I had not It tends to do funny,it did it once before and I forgot grrr!!.. Anyway she is coloured in Polychromos on Neenah card and all the papers are from a pad I got from Liddl last year,and these have encapuslated glitter on them which adds a pretty shimmer..I have mounted all of these onto craft card and my coloured piece.The main papers have all been added to the 8x8 card base with Collall all purpose glue and the topper by 3D Collall gel glue..The flowers are cut from Pink Centura Pearl with Dies from Sue Wilson Collection called Cornflowers ,but the leaves are from a punch from Hobycraft .I also added some pearls and some lace to the brown spotted paper before mounting it too ..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Shaped card ..My Besties Uk DT Card

I have had loads of fun creating this today....The beautiful Mermaid is coloured on Neenah card using a cheap pencil from Hong Kong that a friend of mine had got,I brought some for my Granddaughter ,but I think they will stay with me ..They are Marco Rafine coloured Pencils,oil based and sold in a set of 72..Yes they are nice to use.. Not as good as my Polychromos but I think if I remember I paid £12 or so for them and they are well worth the money,so for a beginner who wants to try pencils a great start as they are really creamy and layer really good.
This project is a wall hanging to sit next to my PC and replace a very weary one I did about two years ago..I have used Tonic Celtic Dream Dies and a Tattered Lace fancy circles for the blue outer ring.. I cut them out in Centura Pearl in Pink,Blue and Beige..And the flowers and leaves are Crafter's Companion wild briar from Sheena's collection.. A couple of the rings have been hand cut to get the next colour in ,but most by my E-Bosser.. I have if you see the last picture added the layers by using 3d Glue gel by Collall ,and used it to apply the flowers and the gems too..I hope you like it ..thank you for visiting

Mermaid and Octopus..Glitter n Sparkle Weekly Challenge DT Card

Todays card is using a Julia Spiri Image ,I know I am on the team ,but sometimes we have to do the same on other teams too..She has been coloured with Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card. ..The papers are all odds n ends from my scrap pile and the pieces have all been mounted onto craft card,then added to an 8x8 card blank..I have also added a post card from one of my Papermania kits too as I thought it would go well with the theme....One the papers were glued to card template I added the topper using 3D glue gel ..I used some odd flower blooms from my stash that I brought last year and some newer pretty gems to finish and to add a bit of sparkle.. Holiday Mistletoe Nymph ..613 Avenue Create DT Card

This beautiful image is by Aurora Wings, I do not get many chances to colour her work..this is where I started my journey into Blogging ..I have coloured it in with Polychromos pencils onto Nehnah card..The backing card is cut using one of Tattered Laces Essential dies.I then cut a top section in craft card and covered the bottom with embossed card from a CC Embolishus folder from the Vintage Christmas collection..to which I treated it with Gilding wax to give the worn vintage effect.I did the same to the surrond to the top of the card and the Tonic Snowflake from the Rococo range..When done I added the Snowflakes with 3Dglue gel,a stopper to the bottom and the topper .and to finish I added a few felt flowers left over from last year I brought from Hobbycraft..Thank you for stopping by :)xx

Julia Spiri Add Some Bling DT card

Todays card I have taken a 7x7 card and cut it diagonally..The image
 is one of Julia's latest release.. and I just wanted to do an autumn feel card as the days are drawing in now..I have coloured her on Neenah card with Polychromos pencils..I just love oranges and brown they aleays look so rich . and Must be my favourite colours of allThen cut her out with a Tonic die, and a matching one in craft card ,then used 3D glue gel to mount onto craft card and popped to one side to dry..I then cut and mounted papers from my DCWV Fresh Floral Stack pad onto craft card..then using a thin off cut of craft card I used permanent fix spray glue and covered the strip with Wow fine Glitter..I love this glitter as it covers so well and actually looks shop brought..You know what I mean girls...I then trimmed to size and mounted all the pieces on the card blank. I then once more used 3D glue gel and placed the topper in the desired position .I have just brought a new set of dies from TLace so thought why not so I cut out the fabulous Ava Flower in craft card and used Gilding wax on it to make it look like old metal..and to finish I added the tiniest crystals to the tiny flowers and it looks so pretty and sparkly..It is a shame the pics do not really pick this up ,but I hope you get the general idea..Thank You for visiting,I really do appreciate your support and comments :)xx

Crafter's Companion Downton Abbey

This beautiful Triple from Crafter's Companion Was coincided to be released as the new series of Downton Abbey was to come onto our TV Screens.. I have loves and followed this from the beginning so when I found that I was on the Launch of this CD I was over the moon..It comes in a different format to the normal .. and you click and the doors open to allow you to enter either the upstairs on Disc one  or the downstairs on Disc two..
Each member of the family or the Staff are named ,when you click on then you open up to beautiful papers and also coordinating papers for each person.. Both of the first two discs are just full of amazing papers and even if you think this is not for you ..You are totally wrong..The papers are fresh ,rich and so varied..It is an excellent source for papers..There are also many fabulous mens papers on there too and will be beautiful on all sorts of projects whether modern or vintageI was so amazed at how many were on here compared to the normal CDs..The Images go from soft romantic Period charm to the Handsome well dressed gentlemen ,then to the more down to earth under stairs ,and for people you love who are into cooking ,you can make a beautiful vintage card ,to a pretty sweet little dress made from the lovely papers in the girls collections..This CD allows your imagination to run wild..and you can be as decorative ,or as simple as you wish..The toppers are beautiful ,embellishments ..well many of you have already seen the samples on the TV already..
The third cd gives you special makes that have been designed for you to make incredible cards ..All in all it has to be one of my favourite Launches this year ..The Dies are just Gorgeous and not just for this CD..look what you can use them on in your other makes..I know a lot will be used in mine soon ..Thank you for visiting :) xx

Add a Charm ..Glitter n Sparkle Weekly Challenge

Another week and another challenge over at Glitten N Sparkle..This week I have used an image from Bugaboo Stamps,I printed it onto Neenah card and coloured it with Polychromos Pencils.. I cut out the Topper using Tonic Dies,sorry I do not keep bits of paper with dies I store them safe in boxes with Magnetic sheets and enjoy using then ..and buy the ones I like ..But it is easy to find these..The second one in yellow was cut out of Yellow pearlescant card and embossed with one of the Tonic embossing folders.I mounted all my pieces onto black card to give definition and the paper was from a Large pad from DCWV called Fresh Floral Stack...Today I used a 5x7 card blank ..It is an easy design and once I  had stuck down the background paper and the first yellow layer,to which I added a strip of orange spot ribbon, I then added the topper wit 3D glue gel ..A bow and label was made ,the little charm was added at the center of the bow and I finished by adding green pearls..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Same but Different My Besties UK

Hiya its that time again the Design team each take the same image and we all colour and create a card that looks totally different..It is actually to give inspiration half way through the main challenge....Here I have coloured her in as usual with Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card ,I then mounted her onto a black card then a piece of craft card so that she really pops from the card... I then set it aside while I cut papers from Crafter's Companion Moonbeam Meadows Everyday cd If you have them use them is my theory and there are so many pretty papers that we should check on these tools as to what we can use for some cards ..and in the long run it saves buying all those books lol so do try it you will be suprised what is out there ..I cut both the same size then rotated onto each other then trimmed carefully,then added the f aux stitching with a Pitt pen ..I then mounted onto some craft card and before adding to the 8x8 card base I glued some of the unusual lavender ribbon around the card and then glued to the card ..I then whilst it was drying, I created the pretty ribbon bow in the same unusual ribbon.. And then attached the Topper with 3D glue gel .. To finish I added a mixture of Purple and Yellow flowers and a few leaves cut for a prior project behind them..The tag will be added when given to the precipitant as I like to add the names on to make them more personal, that will go in the left hand corner as you look at it ..Thank you for looking :)xx

Starlynn , 613 Avenue Creat DT card

Starlynn Queen of the Sugar Web Fairies is the title of this beautiful stamp from Odball Art,Although some of their work is an acquired taste I must say I love it and have pulled out all the stops with this piece,even though not 100% I could not just finish she took about nine hours to colour ..It is a pity some of the colour is bleached out with lighting to take the pictures..She is coloured using Polychromos pencils on Neenah card..Mounted onto black card stock..All the background papers are stash papers so sorry not got a clue as they are the odds n ends from odd books and papers I brought from cards or commissions over the years.All were mounted onto black card and layed out onto a 8x8 card blank.. I added the topper with 3D glue gel and then started to layer various stars I have colected over the years to the card,it looks quite flat on the picture front on so I have taken several views so you can see what I have done ,it has given a fair bit of depth and in real life is very pretty and is quite shimmery..I fels staying simple with the decoration would not take away from the lovely stamp..I hope you like her as much as I have colouring her ..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Use a Punch or Die..Weekly Challenge at Glitter n Sparkle


I coloured the lovely image from Ltd Runs onto Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils and then mounted it onto craft card..Putting to one side I then printed the beautiful check paper from Crafter's Companions Party Paws Christmas Cd and another beige with small white snowflakes on as a contrast..These were all mounted onto craft card and added to a 7x7 card blank as shown..then taking two punches ,one a Hobycraft snowflake and the other a Tonic,the latter being a bit finer I cut enough out to go across the top and bottom of the topper..Once the topper was added with 3D glue I doubled the snowflakes and added to the card at the top and bottom of the topper and added small crystals ,also adding them to the tree ,coat, star and three either side to finish.. Girls ,Girls,Girls DT Card for Julia Spiri Stamps

My second card for this lovely artist ,her lovely artwork is so nice to colour and looks so pretty on cards too..I have used this image as my choice, because it is so girly ..I have coloured her with Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card..Then mounted her onto craft card as you know is my fav choice for mounting card with.I then found papers from the bottom of my stash ,some just big enough off cuts for the job needed..Great when you have been crafting as long as me that many papers you keep ..just in case lol..I first cut to size mounted all onto craft card then I did faux stitching around the two layering papers for interest ..I then added all to the card as you can see ..The card is an 8x8 blank...Then I used 3D glue gel and added the topper to the card added some pre made flowers I brought from Hobbycraft and punched some leaves to finish I then added a gem to center of the flower and two opposite to balance..Added the sentiment to the side and its done done...

Glitter n Sparkle Weekly Challenge..Morgan Fitszimmons

I was so pleased I have had to use one of Morgans beautiful Digi stamps..Although I am on the CC design team I never got to do these for my campaign..so this is a treat for me,,I just love her artwork it is so detailed and ful of incredible things you find as your colouring away.I coloured this image onto Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils.. I then Mounted it onto craft card to keep the feeling very natural. The beuatiful papers are from CC cd called Flights of Fantasy ..I printed out the papers and a matching insert..I mounted all these onto craft card and glued on using Collall all purpose glue..I then tied some twine around the top layer before sticking down with Collall 3D gel glue. Once in place I then added the Topper to finish with the 3D glue and added a tag too.. I have not over decorated this card as there is so much work in the topper and it would have spoilt the card...This way it Showcases it..Thank you for visiting :)xx

My Besties ..Black and White

I wondered what I was going to colour up for this challenge and decided to do this adoreable little witch..Witches are not just for Halloween some little girls and big girls have birthdays at Halloween too... The background papers are from my stash..this card was a great design to use up odd bits of paper from left over projects..I used an 8x8 card blank and matted the background paper onto black card ,then I cut up two small off cuts of another grey paper and also popped them onto black card ,the one piece I had printed Happy Birthday Wishes, this was already on there as it was originally done for another card and it was cut off in the end as I decided to put a different sentiment on it , so it did me a favour here . The background was placed onto the card and then the four squares as shown..I then did a zig zag type squiggly thing around them..You can of course by the technical terms tell that I am a designer of great talent and knowledge ..not ...lol.. I then placed the topper onto the black card and used 3D gllue gel to mount it to the front... To finish I tied a couple of bows and added to the one corner ,then added some super little embellishments to the opposite side and placed a sparkly gem in the middle of the bow..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Glitter n Sparkle weekly Challenge

I had a lot of fun with this lovely image ..I coloured her on Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils,then cut her out with a very small white edge around her.. The actual card is a 7x7..I used a backing paper from Crafters Companion Christmas Moonbeam Meadow..I then mounted it onto craft card ..I cut a piece using a Marianne design die for the background trees and glued it in place ,then I cut a winter village from CC Diesire range coloured windows and added a bit of colour to the buildings ,but just a hint of colour ,then glued in place ..then using an embossing folder from the vintage Christmas ,also CC.. I then set two layers in front to finish ,defined the edges with blue chalk ..Cut a snowman from the new Diesire range and coloured him up and glued together,then popped him behind one of the layers,this helped to keep it all in perspective.. I finally glittered it all and stitch to the main card after that I glued in the insert and added the little girl with 3D glue gel and added the gems to finish..thank you for visiting :) xx
