Sasayaki Glitter ..New Release

Todays card is of a rather Sassy Diva,I have coloured her in with Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card, the background was done with pastel chalks..The Papers that I have used are from First Editions Mulberry Kisses and I have done all my matting for this one using Black card. The dies are from China and I have given the link below with the picture , I did those in Hunkydory Adorable Scorable , not really pleased with this result for these particular flowers but  next time will use my usual card, but it was the right colour and they look shiney and I do love the card it is so nice to use...Its a learning curve when you make cards as you go along and even those who do a lot of cards do mistakes :)..I have cut the flowers in Black as well and off set them and this makes them pop off the card a bit more and I have kept the leaves and centers black and it to give it a more trendy touch..To finish I added a pretty multi faceted gold gem to each flower and a row down the opposite side to the image..Thank you for popping by :)xx

World Wide Open Design Team ... New monthly Challenge Card

Hiya for today's card I used one of Julia's beautiful mermaids,I coloured her with Polychromos Pencils and did the background with Prismacolor as it was the colour I wanted for it..I then used a Tattered Lace basic die to cut it out and did the same with another piece of craft card to mount it onto and make it stronger ..I then cut a two inch strip and folded half inch on each side then folded in one side and out the other out..I then cut little V shapes out to allow me to go around the shape..I used tacky glue to add it to the outside of the base and the V shapes should be sticking outwards at this stage..I used a full length of A4 and about 6 inches to go all around ,but will vary on the size of your frame..I them made the front of the frame by cutting a larger circle ,I used a Tonic big plain die from one of the big sets for this and the same Size TL die for the center whole ..I did emboss the card with a CC Linen embossing folder.
Once done to add more strength I added some craft card and did the wiggly edge around the outside and inside by hand.I then glued it onto the V shaped pieces on the back, once lined up I obviously made sure it was also lined up with the inside ,I then popped it on its face and made sure each point was firmly stuck..It looks hard but it 's not..Well I did it with Dodgy finger so I am sure you can lol!..
All the dies used to decorate the bottom are from China, and have been hand coloured to suit..When looking for my pearls I found the tiny fish beads and the tiny starfish ,so I added those for more texture and dimension ..And to finish I added a variety of blue ,cream and white pearls..
Thank you for popping by :) xx

Sketch Saturday ..Fred She Said Digi Stamps

Hiya,I hope you are all well today :) .. for this card I have used this super cute fairy from Fred She Said..I have coloured her first with SN Pens and then finished with Polychromos pencils,it cuts down the time a little when colouring..But as you know it is not my preferred medium..As you can see from the sketch I have followed the design, but did the card square instead of oblong..The background papers are from the new Painted Flowers paper pad from Docrafts, such a beautiful luxurious pad, but  the card is aimed more for a child I used the butterfly background from it to give it a more fun feel and a pretty daisy sort of pattern that I felt went well with it and the image..I mounted all of these onto craft card to make each section stand out more from each section..I then glued them to the card base on top of the backing papers with 3D glue gel to give a little depth..After fussy cutting and slightly bending the fairy I also added her with 3D glue gel..I use this as I cannot handle the sticky tape and 3D pads, and I find it easier with my poor hands to have a little wiggle room too ..hence the glue..The flower die and the Happy Birthday are from China, the flower and leaves were hand coloured with SN pens and shaped and glued in place and the Birthday was cut in craft card so it stood out more..
Thank you for popping by :) xx

Sasayaki Glitter Grey Challenge

Hiya..This is a fun cute image to do ..I coloured it with SN pens and finished with Polychromos Pencils..I just feel pens do not give the depth Pencils do..but it was a nice change for me ..I then fussy cut him our leaving a small white edge around him to make him pop a bit once on the card..I looked at the other DT work ,I have done mine all grey, they have just added a touch as in they have chosen grey for the image or for accents on the card..
I designed the background paper on my Digital do crafts designer program by using the digi image and creating an all over pattern with him on a pale grey background..the other pieces are from various discs on there I have used and turned to black and white..The sky image at the front is from a landscape picture that I used the sky from after turning it to black and white on the program..I don't do digital often ,but it does have a place in the craft room .It is where I actually started with cd work and decoupage, cannot believe how far I have come today ,all because of FB and seeing the wonderful colouring on there and wishing I could colour like that..So I taught myself and am still learning all the time ..so much fun making cards..But I am one who has to go above and beyond ,just the way I am lol!.But if you want to do something it is worth doing it right ...
Thank you for popping by :)xx

Sasayaki Glitter New Release

I love this new release image ,and could not wait to get it coloured up..I have used Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card and pastel chalks for the background .Once cut I then mounted her onto craft card..The papers are g.c.,d Melody Ross Designer Collection, these were also mounted onto craft card too..The flower is from a die from China I believe listed as a Sunflower and I have done it in multi layers to give it more depth ,I hand coloured the layers with water colour pens from SN and shaped with a ball tool before gluing together, I then added little orange faux pearls to the center and here and there to the paper to bring the small amount of orange I have used in the main image out into the background paper...
Thank you for popping by :)xx

Sketch Saturday DT Card

Hiya,For this Saturday's card I have used this beautiful image,it is one of a set of 6 cute baby animals, really beautifully illustrated too..and a good bargain at only 96p for the six,she has got some really lovely stamps and also coloured illustrations in her shop and all really cheap too..In this day and age its nice to get a bargain, expecially a smashing set of cutie's..I really like these, there is a panda ,elephant, zebra, hippo and a monkey as well as this one ..She sells most of her stamps in sets and there is a nice variety too so worth a look and I am sure you will find a use for them ,I think this has coloured up beautifully ..I have coloured mine in Polychromos Pencils on neenah Solar Crest card. The image was cut out from a Tattered Lace basic oval die as was the backing card in craft card..All the papers used are from Tonic Paper pads and also mounted onto craft card..The Sentiment is a computer generated one as at 5.50 in the morning its all I felt like doing if you know what I mean lol!I started the card early ,but you know when if anything can go wrong when making a card goes wrong ..it happened on this one ,even down to first putting the wrong teams watermark on lol!.. After being ill all last week and sick the last two days I think I did well to get it done so until my next post ..Thanks for visiting and have fun :)xx

Adult Coloring Book - Whimsical Dreams: Color up a Fantasy, Magic Characters. All ages. 50 Different Images printed on single-sided pages Paperback.

by Julia Spiri (Author)

From the Author: In this coloring book you will find lots of unique, whimsical characters from a gentle world of fantasy. There are 50 different images to color. Creating a character is a long creative process. Once an idea has formed in my mind I begin sketching, until I have a clear image that I am happy with and want to paint. Once this is complete I finish the final drawing with clean lines, sometimes using traditional pencil, and sometimes digital pencil. Creating so many characters for this book was a long process, but so much fun. I hope you enjoy coloring it as much as I enjoyed creating it. 50 Different Images printed on single-sided pages

And a few card sing the images included in the book too
