Sasayaki Glitter New Release

Hiya..I made this card base a few weeks ago and never used it.. Found it tonight and it just suited this cute image and what I wanted to do with it so much.. I finally got to use it ,so waste not ,hording craft stuff is very important!!! ,everything can be used lol!..
The lovely image is coloured using Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card,It was then cut out using a stitched stamp die ,then mounted onto gold card, cut straight then Centura Pearl in Pink..The flower has been cut from the Centura Pink card too using a Tonic Gerber Die..I just love these dies the whole set really makes a statement if using just one or as a group...I have on this occasion left it so there is no backing on the flower to keep it looking soft and light ,In the center I have places a vintage button to which I have placed a new sparkling blue gem ,this picks the blue out of the wings, and off the sprinkles on the cake..The backing card is from Kanban and is white with silver overprinted and picks the light up as you move past it ,but more softly than if it was all silver..To finish ,I added three pink gems to the bottom corner just to add a bit more sparkle ..I am very pleased with the colours they have worked lovely together on this card so pretty, making it look lovely and fresh ..Thanks for popping by :)xx

Morgan Fitszimmons Artworld New Release card

Hiya..For today's New release I have chosen to do this beautiful image,I have coloured her in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..This I then cut our and mounted onto some dark green mirror card..For the card base I have used Tonic Essentials Ribbon and Bows Layering dies, these I have backed each one with the dark green mirror card which just glints through the gaps in the die cut edges of the white layers..I chose to do this ,as the inspiration came from looking at some of the old bowls and plated that had the latice edges and this image when it was finished suited the style so well,I think so anyway..It looks nice on her but in real it is so stunning ,Being held by a Plastic plate holder at the moment as I still need to make the card holder for it ..The flowers ..I kept very simple ,hand coloured as well as the leaves to get the right shade I wanted ,these were both cut from dies I brought from Ebay and are from Hong Kong.. so have no makers name with them ..,so those who are thinking of buying them and are a bit worried ,don't be ,dies are expensive ,especially when you first start out and it helps to build your stash up without having to break the bank..They cut fine and have not had any problems with mine..To finish I added a few cream flat back pearls..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Late DT card for 613 Avenue..Floral Shoe

Hiya..I checked what was our project earlier and it seemed a creative piece,so I have not coloured ,but have made a floral 3D shoe for the new challenge that begins today.. For the body I cut out using a Tattered Lace 3D shoe die ..However there are a lot of shoe templates available for free on the internet ,so look around and you will find some really nice ones..I used Santorio Mirabelle paper pad with gloss roses on to construct the shoe with as it is thick and stiff and holds well in 3D work..Once I cut the shoe I folded all the little tabs down ready to stick down..I started with glue but found it not working for me in this case, but the tabs are very small on this die..So instead I used the red high tack red glue ,attached to the base of the shoe then gradually went around sticking the upper part of the shoe to the sole..Then I covered the tags with a bit of pink Centura Pearl so it looks neat underneath as well as giving it extra support..You will probably not have the same problem with the glue it was too fiddly for me to use,as my fingers are stiff and sore from arthritis and for me this is a very rare project ..but I do love creating different things as a change from cards. The flowers and leaves and roses are from some dies I have had from some time and been in my die caddy on magnetic sheets so I do not know the name of them, the smaller flowers are from punches and are just the right size to complement the roses..all these were added with 3D glue gel..Shape your flowers for things like this and for cards ,they look so much more natural looking than just cut out flowers stuck down ,it is what makes the card or project..I have to make a box for it but as I have been up all night I need sleep first ,but I will put the picture on when I have finished ..Thanks for popping by :)xx

Saturday Sketch card Little Miss Muffet

Hiya ,I am back after the Christmas extended break due to being unwell ,what a bad month I hope you have not had the bad colds that have been going around,Just got over a chest infection then caught mine lol ... I never do things by halves ..But feel much better now,and I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas..
For this pretty card I have used a Little Miss Muffet digital stamp ,the link for it is above, I have coloured her on Neenah card using Polychromos pencils,I then cut her out and mounted her onto some lilac Centura Pearl to frame her..The papers I used are from a pad from GCD Melody Ross Design Collection and this pad is the Lydia collection ..very lush, rich ,pretty papers, sadly coming to an end now. You can see by the sketch under the card I have followed the layout ..Was a bit worried about this team to begin with but i find it is quite good fun finding the matching papers to create the sketches and its a change from having to design from scratch..So please do pop over and have a go at the challenge, who knows you could have your card picked out...Thank you for popping by :)xx

613 Avenue Create Card

Hiya, for this months challenge card I have used an Inky Impressions image, been along time since I was on their team..This is actualy an mage I have used once before but I liked it so as it was in my file I decided to use it again..I have coloured her with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card,This was then cut and mounted onto Mirror card as was the papers that I used for the background..These are from one of the Christmas cds from Polkadoodlesone of the resent ones with the little girl on..,I have not got these colour ways in my paper pads and as I had printed these before I got ill a few weeks ago I thought I would use them on this card...I love Nicky's cd so full of fabulous crafting goodies, sadly just had no real time to do any but one which I have coloured ,but not carded yet..sorry I digress..I wanted the colours on both the image strong and bold ,and to  finished the card I went  with a beautiful bright red spotted ribbon and added some faux pearl snowflakes  and a sentiment which was also mounted on gold Mirror card..
Thank you for visiting :)xx

Sketch Saturday Card

Hiya I have coloured this super cute little Pixie from A Day for Daisies with PolyChromos Pencils onto Neenah card..She has then been cut out using a Tattered Lace Basic ovals die set.as was the gold frame too...For this team I am on we are given a sketch to design our card with ..It is kind of cool takes all the design work out of it in some ways, but there is still the choice of papers ..I have that many pads its getting so hard to choose now ...It is like shoes ,cannot pass a paper pad hehehe!..This design should have been landscape but the image I had would not have looked nice on that,so I did mine portrait, but used the same design base for the card..I actually enjoy doing these cards ,I was worried at first but need not have been lol..The papers that I have used throughout are from First Edition Vintage Christmas ,Very luxurious and I have taken the picture to shoe the lovely foiling on the card..Its a shame that the photos do not really do justice to this card .All the papers were mounted onto gold Mirror card..Thank you for popping by :)xx
