Digital Delights By Louby Loo

Hiya..for today's project for Digital Delights I went along with the Halloween theme and also had a play with some of the Touch Five pens that a lot have been going on about on FB..I Will be honest i first started colouring him in Pencils then ..Yes I do have bad days I made a right mess of his face and he ended up being thrown away and as time was a little short I decided to go down the Pen line for more speed than anything.. The pens work lovely ,but I as you know am not a Pen colourist..I found that the ones that came out of the bag they came in,that were facing bullet nib down which I used  worked a lot smoother than ones in the other way around ,so now I store them on their side so they are even.. I am still not a Pen colourist and not happy with my blending I have to put my hands up and admit I still did the shading and the shadows with my Polychromos...But he has come out nice and bright and colourful just as I wanted him too ..
I used one of the cheap sandwhich bags from one of the pound shops I think about 10 fotr £1 ,making it a cheap project...The papers are from a Tonic Paper Pad ,but I cannot remember which I think one from two different ones..I have mounted these first onto black card, then onto some Purple Mirror card,The Mirror stands out more in real than in the pics sorry. Then onto an off cut of black card  I backed it with Purple Mirror then drew a Squiggle line in a White Uni Pen around it to make it pop ..I put Trick or Treat in the bottom right hand corner then added to the bag..I then popped the cut out image on using 3D glue gel .. Then used a black Pitt Pen to draw some creepy crawlies around on the red dot paper to finish..A great idea if you want cheap gift bags for a Halloween party,or to do as a birthday carrier bag, obviously without the spooky image lol!..Have fun and thanks for popping by :)xx

Saturday Inspiration card for Morgan's Artworld

I have followed the theme of the challenge this time for the Saturday card..It is to use Craft card..For this card I used a Sheena Douglas Wood Grain embossing folder and ran the craftcard through the Ebosser.I then decided to use the reverse of the folder I prefered the markings on that side..Then useing Tim Holtz Rusty Hing,Dark Brown and Mowed Lawn ink pads to colour the surface of the craft card..I only added a small amount of the green ,but you must remember when doing wood there is moss on trees and more than just brown.I am well impressed how it came out..I then mounted it onto a fresh piece of craft card to support it and also to straighten it out..I also used a heavier weight glue for this too as I did not want it to be wavy,so  used Cosmic Shimmer..I am not to keen on using it on thinner papers it seems to leave a bit of a ridge, but on this brilliant.
The image is coloured onto Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils..For this one I have tried a slightly new technique, and done a lot of blending with just the pencils..Also I have done a lot more work on the skin, adding more colours, shadows and am really quite pleased with how she turned out too ,Her colouring is much more realistic..However not too sure that this would look so good on the more cartoon characters I do for other teams, but I felt this one needed more work. Hope you like the difference ..The wood grain and the colours I chose has given it a beautiful Autumnal feel..,it was good fun going outside the box, both with the background and with her too..after all it's what crafting is all about learning new things and growing in our own skills, but most of all loving what you do..So have fun ..Thanks for popping by :)xx

Digital Delights Monday Hostess Card

For this card today I have used ..Flurry the Snowman ,it has been done for a special post on Digital Delights called "Hostess Monday" and it was my turn today.. I have coloured him with Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..I then fussy cut him out ready to pop on the card. then cut the center piece of snow fall card ,it is from First Editions Festive Treats,as is the other paper behind it too.I used the CC new contemporary Christmas dies scene for the background at the very back and hand cut the two front slopes and the snowballs..these were all glittered along the edges to give the layers and scene a bit of depth and sparkle too...Once stuck onto the backing papers I then trimmed them to fit the paper and mounted them onto Centura Pearl red card as I did the other paper..It was all then glued onto the 8x8 card base ,there is a snowfall insert matching inside too. The snowballs were then glittered and popped in place a great way to cover up marks if you have any ..um! well! to be honest I did that's where the idea came from lol! Well we all have accidents he! he !... and I used 3D glue to put Flurry in place this makes him stand proud from the card and of cours looking more 3D and giving the scene a bit more depth too..Thank you for visiting :)xx

613 Avenue Create ..Rick St .Dennis Christmas Card

I was absolutely delighted to be colouring a Rick St.Dennis image again..This beautiful image has been coloured using Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..I then cut it out using the Tattered Lave notched squares..It was mounted then onto Gold card ..Yes! gold has come out Christmas cards just have to have the shimmer.. The papers I chose are from the Tonic Christmas paper pads ,also mounted onto gold. The main image I kept on a white background as there was going to be a lot going on in this card so I did not want the image to get lost...For.. directly behind the image I used a piece of foiled craft card from Kanban it was from a Birthday selection of foiled craft cards I brought but as it had stars on it I just knew it would look perfect..I used the larger of the notched squares to cut this out and the gold matting and glued down with 3D glue gel to add a bit off depth. The stars/snowflakes are from Spellbinders and are called Holiday Greetings 4 and look exquisite ..I finished these with some beautiful gems that are iridescent with a gold snowflake on them, and to finish I added a sentiment that was matted onto gold card, this was in the back of the Paper pad...This card looks nice on here but on the shelf it just wows ,because to get good pictures you need lighting so bright it sometimes looses a little of the card ..It is beautiful Looks really rich and one of my favourites so far that I have done for Christmas ..but this is only about number three or four lets wait and see lol!..Thank you for popping by  :)xx

Sassayaki Glitter New Release

Today's card has been a bit of fun,and completely different for me ..First I coloured the lovely image in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card, then fussy cut it out ,then for the background I used my Brushos on Watercolour card..not quite got the effect I wanted ,but I do like it and it makes a different type of baby card, and does make a change from using papers.Once dry I mounted it onto some raspberry coloured card, then using one of the tonic Sentiments in their Baby collection I cut out the Baby Girl in the same card and the white..I used the white off-set to help it stand out more from the background. I then stuck the Panda in place using 3D gel glue.To finish I added some pretty glitter hearts and a couple of sparkle flowers to the words. Thank you for popping by :) xx

Sleepy Kitties ..Sassayaki Glitter DT card

Hiya, Today's card is coloured with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..I mounted the image onto craft card ,then onto white to create a nice crisp frame around it.The Papers are from Tonics Midsummer Morning Paper Pad,these have been matted onto craft card allso.. I really did not want the flowers to be heavy on this card as I wanted it sweet rather than swamped with flowers that overwhelm it ,so I chose to punch some white daisies out and added these ,and for the centers I used one of the Tonic glitter pearl glues ..these are really easy to use so I think I shall have to get some more as they are just right for the center of smaller flowers ..Thank you for visiting :)xx

Digital Delights by Louby Loo..New Release

Hiya I know we do not do much for Halloween over here in the UK ,but this is worth doing ,such a fun project from the beginning.I have coloured the Pumpkinator in using Polychromos pencils on Neenah card and mounted him onto black card. The backing papers I have used are from Tonic's Simply Patterns paper pad and I thought would suit this quite well..These were also mounted onto black card and added to the Halloween theme. Now I have no dies that go with this theme ,so I had a brain wave and I cut out Tonic's Sunburst Gazania flowers..Normally I would back these and make them look pretty ,but this time I just cut them in black card and added them as is and they look like skeleton flowers ,this set has a swirl in which added to the theme so I used that too ..I finished with the sentiment from the set and some pretty gems that are irridescant ..mainly orange ,but as you can see by the pictures they show other colours too..Yes a great bit of Spooktacular fun..Thank you for popping by :)xx
