Digital Delights By Louby Lou

Hiya this has been a long job but I must say its the most fun and creative I have felt doing this in a long time as this is card making from nothing lol!..It has been created using the lovely new Piscies mermaid and she is just adorable..I coloured her with my Polychromos onto Neenah card, then cut her out.I then created the background using torn strips from various papers I have had in my stash for more years than I would like to mention lol ..so its a great way to use scraps and odds n ends of papers..Before gluing together I used some glossy accents and added glitter to it along the top edge to represent froth ..,ok artistic licence lol!.,but it looks pretty..I then added them to an card blank and did a thin line frame around them with a Pitt pen to make the papers  pop out ..The image was added with 3D glue gel to give some depth and I added some die cuts that I coloured with SN Sparkle pens that I had cut from the set from First Editions called Under The Sea.. It has been a fun project and one I am sure a little girl would absolutely love ..Thanks for visiting :) xx

Sasayaki Glitter DT ..Shaped card challenge

todays card I have done using a pretty little image from Sasayaki Glitter,I have coloured her using Polychromos Pencils onto Neehnah Solar white card.,she was then cut out using a Tonic fancy circle die ,then mounted onto another one cut into some pretty dot paper from one of my Tonic paper pads.. To create the outer circle I drew around the outside of the die that I had cut the pink paper from and hand cut the shape out. I then mounted the topper onto this with 3D glue gel to give it more depth, and popped top one side to dry whilst I created the card easel. This I also drew freehand around the die I used to create the outer white edge of the topper ..
First one,not thinking I did a big mistake and forgot to check the edge and had to rub it all out lol..good job I had not cut it lol..after cutting it out successfully and using it by placing the die just off the edge of the fold on the card( for the newbies ) You are left with a nice circular card..This I folded the one half in half and firmly creased which is important with an easel card as it does help it to sit correctly onto the card base..With my easels I fold out and not inwards as I think that these sit nicer this way ,and it makes it nice and easy to attach the top piece too.I then glued the on the pink dot paper to match the topper onto the bottom unfolded section to match the top..I added the top carefully to make set it had a good tight hold ..I always use a tacky glue for this instead of my faithful Collall all purpose as it is an instant grab as well as strong.. I prefer this to tape.I Added the stopper to hold where I wanted the topper to sit with3 D glue a few deeper blobs art the back and this forms the stop, you can just see this on the pictures, sometimes you do not need one but on this card I did..The de  Die cut daisy flowers are from X cut and coloured them with a SN pen C3, then added some gems to finish..Thanks for popping by xx

My Besties Uk ..Use Pink

I have to admit this card has been a headache from the start..I bet youou know where I am coming from..You love the image, you colour it and ..Hmmm needs a bit more and a bit more..well got that finished then went blank on the card ,which is very rare for me ..but after a while of playing with papers I came up with this and I hope you like it ,after all the Bestie is the focus and I felt this worked....So those of you who are newbies ,Yes us more experienced crafters get stuck too lol!.. I have coloured her onto Neenah card using Polychromos Pencils, The pretty papers are from First Edition - Love Letters ,must get another pad I love this one ,and I have mounted the papers onto some pretty holographic card I have in my stash, it sets off the pink as well as adds a sparkle to it too.The decorations I have used are the birdcages from Crafter's Companion's  Kimono Range and I added some pretty ribbon roses to the top to make them look pretty and to pull the pinks over from the topper,The Best wishes are also from CC  the Diesire range..Words only very in expencive and just finish the card off..Lastly I added some pretty pearl clusters,,All my cards have matching inserts and I leave them blank until I know who they are going to then I add the verse..Thank you for popping by :)xx

White and Beige ,plus pale pink and black..613 Avenue Create Dt Card

Hiya ,Todays card I have used an image from Odd Ball Art..I have coloured her on Neenah Solar White 216 gsm card with Polychromos Pencils..I must admit working with the restriction of colours I found easier in pencil than I think in Pen..I used one main pink and vairious pressures on the pencil to get the depth and shading..This is why I love my pencils so much.and the same with the beige too,but to give a bit of texture to the dress I went over it once coloured and did some cross hatching to give it a bit of texture with a slightly darker beige...The background I have made from the new CC Downton Abbey Decorative Lattice ...I joined two together and baked them with craft card ..I then mounted onto some pretty pink dot paper I had in my over - printed box and then added more craft card..
I had to make my own card up with this so I used some of CC Sheena Douglas's 300 gsm card as I could not put my hands onto my white Centura Pearl  that I usually use for this job ,at the moment ,but this card  is good and makes a great card base too ,I then added the prepared decorated card base to it , the insert , popped the layered up topper on with 3D glue gel then decorated it with flowers coloured with SN pens and with craft card leaves, and popped on some pretty gems to finish..The flowers also CC Sheena's Perfect partners, from her very first set ,I love these so pretty, I think they are wild rose but I always think of the summer coming when I use these ..Thanks for visiting :)xx

Get Well Soon Little Fella..

It's shaped cards over at the challenge at Sasayaki Glitter this week and I have done a simple Hexagon card created from the beautiful Tattered Lace Hexagon dies that match the dragon box I made a while ago..This sad little Fella has been in the wars and looks so sad but cute,I have coloured him in using Polychromos Pencils, onto Neenah card. And I have used a deep blue card as the mount card and for the base of the easel section of the card too.I have also used some pretty aqua card and some aqua dot card for the layering between the dark blue ,and to build up the base slightly to help give it a bit more support for the top section of the card to sit on,Thes are from my own dwindling at last stash ..I have used the layers as decoration ,keeping it on the simple side as it is more for a little boy ,and boys are boys ,they like a hug and kiss off Mum as a perfect child then go on a one man demolition team through the house lol..Can you tel I have a son lol !..I have used 3D glue gel to add the top layer on the top of the card and to tilt the Get Well Soon tag too, Don't forget judge it then glue it before checking or else it can get stuck solid or you get the glue all over the base of the top ,not pretty..Yep! I have done both of these tricks so don't you..Thank you for popping by :)xx

Morgans Artworld Saturday Inspiration Tag

For todays inspiration I have created a tag using my new set of Crea Lies  Crea-Nest-Lies Extreme Tag dies no 3..Been wanting these for a while so treated myself, must say did not take much twisting my arm lol!..I firstly printed the image onto Neenah card then drew around where the first tag was going,as this was going to over hangthe die size I had to cut this by hand, but first I coloured her in with Polychromos Pencils.. I then cut a layer with Gold coloured Centura Pearl, then a pretty glitter paper from First Editions ,a pad called Love Letters..I stack that onto more gold to make it pop as it looked a little lost but I had to hand cut some of this shape around the top as it was done free hand one paper was on the card ,so sorry if not perfect..The back layer is cream Centura Pearl which was chosen as its a good stiff card and supports the project beautifully...To finish I cut some pretty little cloude from CC Diesire dies called Head in the clouds and addec them to the project then popped a hand made bow in a glittery red/gold ribbon..Thank you for visiting and please pop over and see some of the lovely projects the creative team have done :)xx

I Love You..Knitty Kitty Birthday Card

Well It is a good job I had printed this one out..I dont know how many of you card makers find you get suprise Birthays you forgot!..This was the worst it was my Fella's  UMMM!! was I embarrassed or what ..Sat up all night colouring this for him lol!..but he loved it ,Saved myself Phew!!..
I have coloured this lovely image in with Polychromos Pencils onto Neenah card..I then mounted it onto first craft card, then blue glitter then cradt again to frame it ,set it aside to dry..The backing papers are from a pad I brought from Hobycraft ,it was one of their own make ones ,not sure if they still do it ..The front has gone so I cannot name the pad but the papers are really thick and were Beautiful colourful  patterns ,now only have the last few left ..So just because it has their name on it dont be put off it was a lot cheaper than all the big named ones too.I mounted everything onto craft card .
I chose the pinky red for the main background as its a non descriptive pattern suitable for male or female ,the pretty raindrops papers I used as the stripes across were from the reverse of the papers ,so I only used two 12x12 sheets for this card which was good ..It is a very bright fun card and I think it suits both sexes but it said what I wanted lol specially as it was by the skin of my teeth lol !
Thank You for popping by :) xx
