Times Gone By.. From Crafters Companion

It is lovely to see a good all around vintage kit from Crafters Companion in their Times gone By.It is simply full of beautiful images and fabulous papers and a few new card shapes to name a few things in the kit..Also there is a set of wonderful Rubber stamps that go with it also to finish the experience,if you love to colour. I loved this cd as I think to many on the market are more Shabby Chic and this one is much more vintage. But do not get me wrong there are beautiful coloured papers and toppers and you can give your  cards a much more modern vintage feel to if you know what I mean .. Here are my samples, the first being the stamped ,one of the two florals available..I hope you like them :)x

Scrappers Delights..Hazel Pixie

Ohh have I had a happy few days colouring this is the first of two cards for this week..This is Hazel I did the sister to her last time which was my favourite, but now I am not too sure as I love how this one has come out.The beautiful image is coloured on Neenah card ,using Polychromos pencils by Faber Castell. The background papers are by First Edition the pad is "Up Up and Away".Once more I have used craft card for my matting, also I used an 8x8 card blank too .I placed the first layer on the card blank this was cut to allow a small white edge around the card.,Then I added an off -cut of a contrasting paper onto a piece of craft card and placed it horizontally across the card half way. After matting and layering the topper ,it was added using 3D glue gell to give it a bit of lift..I popped the insert in then continued to decorate using flowere and leaves from my stash and a few gems..I hope you like her :)x

Inky Impressions Guest Designer..PASTELS

I was so happy to be asked to be the Guest Designer at the Inky Impressions, as those who have followed me for a while will know I was on their team until Christmas last Year and I really sad to leave as I love the images from the designer. This is an image I think I may have done before, but I did the whole image. This time I have done more of a cameo..The theme is pastels..I Used digital papers for this one as they fit  nicely with this theme,it is from do-crafts Birdsong, but I believe it is also in a paper set too, very pretty .I used a faux squiggly stitch type line around the edge of the backing paper. The topper was cut with a round die and also the backing card too this was a Tattered Lace Die and the pretty clouds are from the new dies that have just come out by Crafter,s Companion..The flowers are from a tattered lace die set and the leaves cut from my Cameo..finished with gems..Hope you like her ..I think she is so sweet :)xx

Same but Different..Girlds day out.

This is a super Cute Bestie design ..I just love her retro dress and hairstyle..They wore clothes like this when I was a kid..whoops age slipped out lol.I have used an A5 blank for this which is unusual for me but I thought it would be a change..She is coloured in using Polychromos Pencils on Neenah card..The backing paper is from a digital kit.I mounted the backing paper and the topper onto craft card as it goes with everything ,expecially pink and green, I then added some Pink Hessian with 3D glue gel as is tacky and clear .I used a beautiful Xcut heart die that has roses and butterflies all over it, cut this in half and arranged as shown..then I added some beautiful flowers and finished with some gems..I have used Collall Glues throughout 3D and all purpose as they are my fave and do the job perfectly ..Thanks for looking :)x

Scrappers Delights Pixie Lexi

Not only am I super excited about this lovely Image ,but it was such a beautiful project to make too.I coloured the beautiful image in Pencils on Crafters Companions Neenah Solar White card. Because it was late at night or early morning I was going to use a die, because of the noise of the machine ,I am in a flat lol ,so instead I drew around it on the inside and cut around it in a wavy edge by hand..I then did the same on Craft card, but used the outer edge of the die so I would have a border. Then I mounted the topper onto the craft card with Collall 3dGlue .Then I did the same for the base card and the decorative paper, which was an off cut.. this is a great way to use up the bits that you would normally throw away..I folded the card slightly different but you will see in the card,I prefer to fold the top half back on itself as I think that it seems to sit a little better that way,but it is my personal choice ,you can do it your way..I then glued the paper onto the base of the card with Collall all purpose glue ,added a small stopper in the constructed with one of the smaller dies and the paper to match rhe caed..The flowers for decoration are the new Crafters Companion Sheena's Dies ,they have matching stamps but in this case I did not want to use those as it is a fantasy card and I wished to do them in red to pull the colour of the toadstools down onto the bottom of the card...Giving a very pretty feeling fairy card..Thank you for looking :)x

All Dressed Up My Best Friend

Sometimes you see a stamp and it just speaks loads this is it ..I saw this and fell in love ..Me and my little Yorkie..However I am cuddly not slim like this young lady..These stamps are fresh, simple but so much fun to to and every month I really look forward to the next one .. This has been colours on Neenah card  using  Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils. This was then mounted onto craft card ..I added faux stitching then went around with a co-ordinating pencil to finish the topper.I mounted the backing paper from my DCWV Fresh Floral stack pad onto Craft card and added it onto the 8x8 card base.I used my Cameo to cut out the lovely doiley and the circle paw prints and backed them with Green card.. This was from my box of scraps and its a great way to use things from your stas that are just sitting around and also gives the card a big pop of colour too .The topper I added flat then I used 3D glue to pop on the topper and the other circle paw prints..I then finished by decorating with flowers and gems Thanks for looking
